The 2019 Barbaresco Montestefano is broad, ample and expansive, as Barbarescos from this site tend to be. Dark cherry fruit, spice, leather, incense and pipe tobacco are some of the notes that open in the glass, but more than anything, the Montestefano impresses with its textural resonance.
