Chateau d'Yquem 'Y' Ygrec, Bordeaux, France, 2019
Critic tasting note: "The nose is fresh, fruity, aromatic and offers a small incisive side as well as complexity. It reveals notes of juicy / fresh grapefruit, fresh zest and small notes of apple associated with touches of white flowers / apple blossoms, a discreet hint of mesocarp as well as a subtle hint of passion fruit and a very discreet hint of almond (in the background). The palate is fruity, well-balanced, elegant and offers a beautiful mineral frame, a small fat, gourmandize, roundness, juiciness, energy, a beautiful freshness, a melodious / aerial side as well as a beautiful work on bitterness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy / fresh vine peach, fresh pink grapefruit and small notes zest associated with touches of mesocarp, salinity, quenette as well as a subtle hint of acacia flowers, passion fruit and a discreet almost buttered hint (in the background). Good length. A gourmand, elegant and all in ” balance ” wine." - 96/100, VertdeVin
