Critic tasting note: "Very ripe style with hints of confiture, kirsch and liqueur. Unctuous, fruity and rich palate with dark plum, spices and rigid tannin, good length, still a bit young and restrained." - 89/100, Andreas Larsson - Tasted

Côtes de Bordeaux Castillon is the appellation title for Côtes de Bordeaux wines made specifically in the Castillon district, at the very eastern edge of Bordeaux. Until 2009, these wines were sold as Côtes de Castillon.

All Côtes de Bordeaux Castillon wines are red, made predominantly from Merlot, which accounts for about 70 percent of the harvest. Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc are the main supporting grape varieties. Malbec, Petit Verdot and even Carmenère are also permitted. The total vineyard area of the appellation covers 1853 hectares (4578 acres).
