Expect to taste a variety of wines, typically between 4-6 different types. Each tasting pour is about 1-2 ounces. If you prefer not to swallow the wine, spittoons are provided for your convenience. It's a common practice in wine tasting to spit out wine, so don't be shy! It helps you enjoy the breadth of wines without the effects of alcohol.

Absolutely! If you discover a new favorite, you can purchase it right from our retail store after the class. We will be more than happy to assist you with your selection and offer any promotions that might be running.

While we don’t have a strict dress code, we recommend smart casual attire. Feel free to dress in a way that expresses your personal style, while being respectful of the occasion and others.

Yes, it’s a good idea to have a light meal before attending. Tasting wine on an empty stomach might affect your ability to taste and enjoy the wine fully, and it can also impact how you metabolize alcohol. We often provide palate cleansers and small nibbles, but a meal beforehand is recommended.

As the founder and owner of Mandara Wine, Chris is well-versed in the wine world, having worked in fine wine distribution. Chris holds a WSET Level 3 certificate.

Travis Oh, PhD

As an avid student and educator of wine, Travis holds a PhD degree in Marketing with a focus on hedonic experiences. He is currently in progress of obtaining the WSET Diploma (disWSET).
