The 2019 Barbaresco Vanotu is laced with ripe dark cherry, plum, spice, mocha and espresso. In this vintage, the Vanotu is a bit light in structure, which seems to accentuate the oak imprint. It will be interesting to see how this ages. Perhaps there is more depth than what is coming through at the moment.
