Terralibera is a small, artisanal winery located in Serra de’ Conti in Italy’s Marche region, within the prestigious Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi appellation. Founded by Gian Mario Bongini in 2002, the estate spans about seven hectares devoted entirely to Verdicchio, farmed organically and sustainably.
The name “Terralibera,” meaning “Free Land,” reflects the winery’s philosophy of minimal intervention and respect for nature—allowing the vineyard’s unique character to shine through. The vineyards sit between 250 and 325 meters above sea level, with diverse exposures and soils ranging from clay to sand, creating wines of nuance and mineral depth. All grapes are hand-harvested and vinified with indigenous yeasts, minimal sulfites, and no additives.
