The 2023 Lions De Suduiraut Blanc is based on 57% Semillon, 30% Sauvignon, and 13% Sauvignon Gris. It has a juicy, vibrant nose of crushed citrus, tart grapefruit, and minty, mineral-like nuances as well as medium-bodied richness and depth on the palate. It has the pretty, juicy, vibrant style of the vintage.

Just bottled, the 2023 Lions de Suduiraut Blanc Sec is superb. It offers a bit more mid-palate creaminess than most years but also retains terrific freshness and energy. Candied lemon, tangerine peel, passion fruit, jasmine and crushed rocks all race across the palate. The 2023 has the most Smillon ever herean inspired choice, to be sure, yielding an especially versatile dry white. I would be delighted to have a case at the house.
