90 Antonio Galloni - Vinous

The 2022 Morellino di Scansano is fabulous. Aromatic, sensual and inviting, the 2022 is an ideal wine for drinking now and over the next handful of years. Silky tannins wrap around a core of dark red/purplish berry fruit, lavender, rose petal, spice and menthol. All the elements are very nicely balanced. What a charmer.

Crunchy and delicious, with slice lemons, light plums and some flowers and tar. Light and fresh with firm tannins and a crisp finish. So much fresh sage and mint. Sangiovese with a touch of ciliegiolo and alicante. Drink now.
