About Christopher

Christopher Sachs is a wine and spirits professional based in Central New Jersey. He was classically trained in Culinary Arts at The Culinary Institute of America where he took a short course in the study of wine. That’s where his love of food and wine really blossomed. Shortly after graduation, he worked in the restaurant industry at Ninety Acres in Peapack/Gladstone, NJ and End of Elm in Morristown, NJ. After his last stint in restaurants, Christopher began studying with the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) at the International Wine Center in NYC and has since completed the Advanced Course in Wines and Spirits, as well as the coveted Diploma of Wines and Spirits. In Feb. 2022, he completed the Certified Sherry Wine Specialist (CSWS) program with the Wine Scholar Guild, passing the most comprehensive certification program on sherry wines with Highest Honors. In April 2022, he traveled to Verona, IT to partake in the VinItaly International Academy and passed a rigorous exam process to attain the title of Italian Wine Ambassador, becoming one of less than 300 people in the world to be certified. To further his dedication to the Italian wine culture, he has also gone on to become an Italian Wine Educator, looking to share his passion and knowledge of Italian wines. He currently works as a Sales Representative with Skurnik Wines and Spirits in the NJ/NY area and consults with various retail and restaurant partners on a daily basis. Christopher finds joy in exploring the world by way of wine, spirits, sake, and cider and sharing his 'travels' with everyone.
