‘Composition’ is made from parcels with the village of Les Mesnil as well, but from those that are further outside the village and not a hop-skip-jump away from Clos du Mesnil.   While 'Monochrome’ is typically a single vintage dominant wine from a few sites, the Composition, as its name suggests, is of several vintages and relies more on reserve wines while at its core is also a base wine of 2018.  Dosage here is even lower at just 1 gram - and the wine is even racier than the Monochrome.  Made similarly with a long, cold, and slow fermentation in stainless steel for 10 weeks and full malolactic fermentation and lees aging in bottle for 24 months.  Also hand riddled, disgorgement is done by hand “à la volée” as well.
