Paul Launois is one of Champagne’s most exciting new grower-producers with tremendous holdings in Le Mesnil. Julien and Sarah Launois have a pristine 6.5 hectares, high up on the elevated slopes adjacent to the revered ‘Clos de Mesnil’ parcels where both Krug and Salon’s $1000+ bottles are born. With neighbors like that... their prices are unreal! Traditionally offering their grapes to the village cooperative, as prior generations had done, yet for just the past seven years, Julien and Sarah Launois have kept fruit from the family’s parcels to make their own delicately hand-crafted and supremely luxurious Champagne under the name of their infant son, Paul. Their first vintage was 2015.
